MISSION THREE: LEARNING TO USE CHOPSTICKS
Successfully complete this Mission and receive 150 Star Coins!
ABOUT THE MISSION Chopsticks are pairs of equal-length sticks used for eating in Asian countries for over 2,000 years! They are most commonly used in Southeast Asian countries like Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand and even The Philippines. The Chopsticks used vary from country to country but are commonly made of bamboo, plastic, wood, or stainless steel. The Chinese have been wielding chopsticks since at least 1200 B.C. In Chinese, chopsticks are called “Kuai-zi”. The name chopsticks is believed to have originated from Chinese Pidgin English where “chop chop” meant to do something quickly.
Your mission is to learn how to use chopsticks and then attempt to eat an entire meal using nothing but chopsticks. Better keep a fork and spoon close by just in case. Instructions can be found below and in your workbook. You may also want to look online as watch an instructional video. Good luck!
